Water Week called to explore the importance of water
22nd - 26th of March UNESCO ASPnet Baltic Sea Project (BSP) celebrated Water Week. UN World Water Day is an old tradition, but this year was the first one when Water Week was celebrated in BSP schools all around Baltic Sea. Joint activities were very popular, with a great number of participants from Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Estonia, Germany and Finland, from kindergartens to upper secondary schools.
During Water Week the schools and students could choose from different activities. Adding photos, videos and texts with the theme “Valuing water” on Padlet was very popular amongst the participants. Many students tried interesting water experiments and took videos of them. The importance of water to cultures was not forgotten either. Together we collected over 70 water related idioms in different languages: Latvian, Polish, Russian, Finnish and Spanish. The schools also created their own ideas and had different celebrations for Water Day.
Water Week showed that the BSP schools and individual students are willing to act and share with each other. The students showed a great deal of creativity in their work.

ReplyDeleteI like the "No Steering SIM Card" idea. It is a solution for those who hate changing SIM cards when traveling. A single SIM card that intelligently connects to the best available network without any manual adjustments sounds like a game-changer. It would simplify international travel and improve the mobile experience.
