Welcome to UNESCO BSP!

It’s mid-June and the second week Finnish students and teachers are enjoying their well-earned summer holidays. Already we have had a heat wave and powerful thunders more typical for July and August than late spring and early summer. Once again, we have experienced  the extreme weathers climate change brings about.

If you, as a teacher or student, are interested in nature, climate change and the protection of Baltic Sea, there are several summer and autumn camps dealing with these issues. What’s better than wandering on the beautiful Baltic coasts with same minded people and, at the same time, learn about nature, explore, study and make observations. You can also try and find ways to act and make a change. You can find more information about the camps and events on the calendar page.

In the future, we hope to see lots of posts about the different projects, events, camps and conferences in this blog. The projects can be carried out in one school or by one class only or by several teachers and students from different Baltic countries working together online or face-to-face.

To post a short text and pictures is a nice way to share experiences and good practices and, thus, inspire teachers and students around Baltic countries to join BSP.

Have a great holiday!
Tiina
